I had been seeing a guy for coming up to a year. I wanted a commitment and some indication of the future with him but he was not giving me any indication of where I stood with him.

I wanted to start setting a foundation with him in order to move onto the next steps, like making us official meeting family members etc.

I was scared of his response to the things that I wanted and did not have the courage to ask him out right face to face. I asked Des to help me construct an email in order to get the information I required.

Des added some questions for me to ask within my email, that once were answered would give the answers I needed.

Unfortunately I did not get the result I wanted, he just was not ready. I could also say fortunately it helped me focus on what I want and not spend any more time with someone who was on a different time scale to me.
